The weather in Chicago:
The weather in Chicago is defined as a continental climate and is therefore very varied, because in summer temperatures can be recorded between 30 and 35 ° C and minimum from 15 to 20 ° C. In winter, temperatures range from -10 ° to 5 ° C and minimum temperatures from -20 ° C to -5 ° C. The lake moderates the climate only slightly. The maximum rainfall concentrated in spring and summer, with August the wettest month in general, although rainfall is spread throughout the whole year. Snowfall or blizzards are common during late autumn and winter and can be very strong, being in full North American continent, and around the lands of Canada.
Due to the flatness of the area, rainwater should be stored in underground tunnels temporarily, in a system known as TARP (Tunnel and Reservoir Program) which has 168 km of tunnels, between 90 and 100 meters deep, between 3 and 11 meters in diameter, up to a million m3 each.
